2001 Premier go 4-0-0 and win Empire State Summer Championships!

01 Premier squad went undefeated and defeated the Midget Elites in the Finals: 5-4

The Northern Vermont Wildcats 2001 Premier team had a very successful season and captured a total of 3 out of 5 prestigious tournament titles. They finished the season with a tournament championship, in Albany, NY at the Empire State Summer Championships this past weekend.

Led by Jim Damren, head coach for the weekend, the team went 4-0-0 as they defeated every opponent in very close games. In the preliminary round, Coach Damren and the squad defeated the Clifton Park Cats: 3-0, NVW Midget Elite team: 3-2, and the RI Hitmen: 7-2. In the Championship Game, the squad went down 2-0 after the 1st half, but came storming back to score 5 goals in the final 20 minutes to hold off a tenacious NVW Midget Elite team, coached by Cole Godfrey, by a final score of 5-4.

Great work to Coach Godfrey and the NVW Midget Elite team on taking home 2nd place at the tournament, and congrats to Coach Damren and the 01 Premier team on finishing a very successful season, on top once again!
