Mayette currently skates for the Syracuse Stars USPHL Premier team

The Northern Vermont Wildcats are excited to announce that 1996 birth year forward, Jake Mayette, has verbally committed to play NCAA Men's Divison 3 Ice Hockey for the State University of New York (SUNY) Canton Kangaroos, for the 2017-18 season.

Mayette currently skates for the Syracuse Stars Premier team, in the United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL). So far this season, he has accumulated 23 points in 28 games, with 10 goals. Last season, he was a key member on the Stars' Elite team. He averaged a point a game with a team leading 15 assists for the Stars. Before moving onto Junior A hockey, Mayette captained The Albany Academy.

With the Wildcats, Mayette played on the Junior A and Midget Major teams. Always a threat with the puck, Mayette was a key contributor and was looked to in many situations.
